Targeting Universities
Many graduate recruiters will visit a group of targeted universities, recruiters will usually target a university, by previous track record and course subjects, and so this can be a disadvantage as you can miss out if that company does not target your university. Knowing what companies target particular universities before you apply can be a good idea.
What Happens
The company will usually give presentations, hold tests and interviews to students who have studied the subjects and who have the academic qualifications to fulfill their needs.
The Milkround can be a great opportunity to meet an employer, get to know if you think you would fit in with them. If you are the type of applicant they are looking for it is can be much easier to get an interview at the university you are studying at than to leave it until the summer, when many of their vacancies will be filled and you are competing with students from many other universities.
The Milkround can be an effective service, which gets information about graduate recruitment companies to you.
