We all know job hunting is one of the most tedious activities ever invented, but, like cleaning the toilet, it must be done! It can get tedious after a couple of weeks though, so save yourself the suffering and make sure you're doing it right. It's not rocket science but here are a few pointers.
If you're still at university you have access to a wide range of information not easily obtainable elsewhere, so keep your eyes open. Posters should inform you about career fairs and other events and take a look at the student magazines - employers use student newspapers and magazines, such as RealWorld, to advertise job opportunities.
Your university careers office will have loads of information and contacts. You will find free job directories in there with information on graduate recruiters, including background company information, details of the type of work offered, locations, academic requirements and application details.
