Keywords crucial to online CVs
Online CVs that contain several keywords relevant to the job will be picked up better by employers, according to an industry expert.
Industry insiders Onrec suggested software would be able to pick up these resumes more easily.
Managing director David Hurst said: "It's a good idea to include as many keywords as you can in your CV because to find a CV online there is software that will simply go through the CVs selecting the most relevant ones."
Graduates should think about what kind of job they are applying for and tailor their CVs accordingly, he added.
Resumes are becoming increasingly important to fine-hone as the graduate job market becomes more competitive.
Although several sectors are performing poorly, demand for graduates is up in healthcare, telecommunications and education, according to the Monster Employment Index.
Regionally, there has been a growth in the number of jobs advertised online for Northern Ireland, the study revealed.
