PricewaterhouseCoopers named 'best place for graduate jobs'

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has been voted as the top employer for graduate jobs for a seventh consecutive year.

The financial services firm was also named as the Accountancy Employer of the Year for a tenth time in the High Fliers national survey of students.

Welcoming annual survey by employment research company, PwC noted that it has created more than 11,000 graduate jobs in the past ten years.

Ian Powell, chairman and senior partner at the company, said: "We're delighted with this award, because even with impressive increases in application levels to our firm over the past two years, we don't believe competition for the top talent is any less intense."

Mr Powell noted that PwC is currently investing £15 million a year into training and career opportunities for graduates.

"That's what sets us apart, gives us the best return on investment and is what career-savvy graduates demand."

Earlier this year, the Financial Times reported that PwC is offering more career opportunities to graduates who received 2:2s for their degrees, in a bid to uncover overlooked talent.ADNFCR-1587-ID-800069428-ADNFCR
