Graduates could find employment at Sainsbury's over Christmas
Graduates still searching for a job could find employment at the supermarket giant Sainsbury's as a stop-gap.
That is because the chain is offering up to 14,100 seasonal jobs in order to meet customer demand over Christmas and the New Year.
During this period, over 19 million customers shop at the store every week, which means graduates could gain invaluable people skills.
Roles available include those in customer service, working on the check-out and helping the delivery team complete online orders.
Helen Webb, Sainsbury's retail human relations director, stated that the firm is proud to be offering these jobs at a challenging time for the economy.
She said: "Retail is a fast-paced, dynamic industry all year round but there really is no more exciting time to be in store than Christmas.
"We are looking for enthusiastic, hard working colleagues who have a passion for great customer service."
Therefore graduates could consider applying for a job at the company as it will provide them with much needed funds for the festive season.
Sainsbury's announced last month that it is offering 65 graduate roles in management jobs, which pay £26,000 per annum.
