Manufacturers recruiting graduates
There is a good jobs climate in the manufacturing sector following a stronger than expected recovery in production.

500 manufacturers were surveyed by Engineering Employers Federation (EEF). Results found that businesses reported strong trading conditions, supported by the "robust demand" from overseas markets.

They forecast that the engineering and manufacturing sectors will continue to perform better than the rest of the UK economy in 2011.

Lee Hopley, chief economist at EEF, said: "Manufacturers are ending the year on a high and should enter 2011 on a strong footing.

"The survey has shown record responses on output and orders for much of this year and, if this continues, we should see exports and investment delivering better balanced growth across the economy."
