Hastings Direct creates vacancies

Insurance broker Hastings Direct is to create 150 new jobs in the East Sussex area, which may include graduate vacancies.

The first round of hiring will happen this month when the company is looking for “enthusiastic, outgoing and reliable new staff".

Around 90 people will then be hired before summer. The company says the new jobs have been created to reflect growing customer demand.

Human resources director at Hastings Direct, Amanda Menahem said there was room for progression due to the company's development programme.

"We are a successful and fast growing business, as well as being a great place to work. We have doubled our leadership and development programme for 2011," she said.

"Many of managers originally joined us as call centre workers and we are keen to identify and progress talent in our business."
