More graduate applications for Jaguar
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced an increase in graduate applications.
The company said it received more than 6,500 applications for its 280 graduate places this year. The manufacturing giant based in Warwickshire said that the recruitment drive aimed to support a multibillion-pound investment plan for new product creation.
This is a 68% increase on 2010 and these have more than tripled in the last two years.
They will hire 280 graduates this year for a variety of roles across the business including product development, engineering, manufacturing, finance, human resources, IT, marketing and purchasing.
JLR’s human resources director Des Thurlby said: “Our plans over the next few years will see us spending billions of pounds to research and develop exciting new products and technologies. This investment will secure Jaguar Land Rover's position as an innovative, world-class manufacturer of luxury vehicles.”
He added that JLR was “delighted” that it had received so many applications.
The company’s graduate scheme runs for two years.
