500 health jobs for the West Midlands

Around 500 NHS jobs are being created in the West Midlands which may offer graduate job vacancies.

health visitor jobsThe Birmingham Post has reported that roles are to be created for health visitors, who visit new-born babies and young children at their homes.

For these positions people are usually registered nurses or midwives who have completed additional specialist education at degree or postgraduate level.

Anne Milton, the public health minister, said that the NHS in the West Midlands need more health visitors.

"We need to attract new people into the profession and to keep the health visitors we have," she said. "We will fund a national recruitment drive that will show the vital work health visitors do in supporting families and boosting public health."
