Acorn Adventure is now recruiting for the 2009 season.
We are looking to recruit Village Managers to co-ordinate our guests and be responsible for their welfare during their stay at our centres.
We are ideally looking for people with experience of working with young people between 7-17 yrs old and adults alike. As the Village Manager your main responsibility is to ensure that our guests have a smooth and successful trip or holiday whilst at the centre, outside of activity sessions. You will be the main point of contact for children, teachers, group leaders and families and so will need a certain level of diplomacy and understanding of different customer?s needs, along with being able to liaise with the senior staff team regarding your group's requirements. You will also be responsible for the general running of the village, ensuring that it is kept clean and tidy at all times.
You will need to have a lively and bubbly personality with lots of enthusiasm. Organisational skills are also required in this role as you will be organising and participating in our evening entertainment programme and co-ordinating the arrival and departure of guests onto your village.
There will be opportunities to gain NGB qualifications in different activities at different times throughout the season. We are looking for people who can commit to working the full season.
