Aston English- - English Teachers

Teach English in magical China with Aston English, who run more than 50 English schools in China.

You can choose from a range of contracts, which offer various start dates and durations as well as numbers of hours per week!

Your specific duties will include:

* Teach scheduled class hours as outlined in the contract. Class hours include scheduled lessons, substitutions, outside teaching, one-to-one tutoring, educational promotional events.

* Prepare lesson plans and mark homework according to the guidelines set by Aston

* Follow the curriculum, the course aims and lesson objectives

* Complete the teacher?s Daily Class Log

* Carry out on-going assessments

* Conduct and grade mid-term and final exams

* Complete all assessment paperwork, grade cards, assessment forms and Aston Passports for Success

* Work with the Chinese teacher to ensure effective lessons

* Attend training events

* Undertake professional development, lesson observation and feedback

* Abide by Aston?s policies as outlined in the contract and the Foreign Teachers? Staff Manual

Classes are limited to 18 students for kids and 16 for adults. Job Start : Various start dates available Job Duration : Contracts available from 7 - 58 weeks Job Requirements : You will be required to complete an intensive two-day training program with a senior member of our Education Training Staff. This is followed by a series of in-house workshops and developmental observations designed to hone your core skills and make your teaching more effective and inspiring. The successful applicant will require a university degree and native English skills. You should have a desire to teach, good communications skills, a a sense of humour, good team-orientation, be open to new experiences, flexible, adaptable, self-sufficient and punctual. Ideally, you should have previous experience in teaching or working with children, previous experience of living abroad, professional qualifications in the field of TESOL, creativity and robust health.
