Graduate Scheme
Your career begins with a three-week induction, which will give you the chance to meet senior people within the Bank and to gain a detailed understanding of our unique role within the economy. We provide the technical and business training you need to get started but we also focus on the 'softer' skills that will help you make the most of the Bank's collaborative culture.
Beyond this initial period, you will move straight into a role within one of our business areas - Monetary Analysis, Monetary and Financial Statistics, Markets, Notes, Banking Services or IT. Here you will be working within a team, all the while expanding your responsibilities, knowledge and skills. Throughout it all, you will be supported by your coach and the Graduate Development Adviser, and you will also enjoy access to a wide variety of internal and external training courses.
After 18 months, all graduates attend a three-day residential professional development workshop. This provides the opportunity to reflect on progress so far, and to formulate a plan to focus your development for promotion to the next level.
