Which careers do we offer?Five areas within our Investment Banking division recruit university leavers:
The Investment Banking Department; Fixed Income; Equities; Shared Services; and Information Technology. Each area offers different opportunities and roles depending on your qualifications, personality and interests. In the Front Office, we offer not only fulltime but also internship positions, both at Analyst and Associate level. For Information Technology and Shared Services, besides fulltime opportunities, we also offer internships at Analyst level as well as some six-month Industrial Placements. The programs last between 10 and 12 weeks, depending on which department you apply to and are available during the summer, winter and Easter period. Long-term internships are also available on an ad hoc basis in some of our European offices, such as Frankfurt, Paris, Milan and Madrid. Our internships are a great opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills, ability and ambition to work here and enable you to assess if this is the right career path for you long-term. You will assume a truly value-adding role and be exposed to the type of work our full-time recruits handle. But whether or not you are familiar with what all these opportunities might be, you’ll find in-depth explanations to everything we have to offer on our website www.credit-suisse.com/standout. We encourage you to read these in detail prior to making an application.
What’s the training like? It’s in our best interest to get you off to the right start, and we consider our training to be truly exceptional in every area. If you join us full-time, you can expect a one to two month in-depth graduate development program upfront, followed by ongoing on-the-job and division-specific development as you grow both professionally and personally. The more focused and motivated you are, and the more you take ownership for your own training, the faster you’ll develop. In Information Technology and Shared Services, the best training is hands-on, so after an initial three-week induction you’ll get straight into your role, with structured follow-on technical and professional skills training. This runs throughout the first 12-18 months to build up your knowledge. Even as an intern, you’ll benefit from tailor-made training to help you make a success of your internship – from classroom-based training, on the job, through to senior management speaker series, educational seminars and networking sessions. We will also monitor your performance regularly to help you with any further development you might need to accomplish everything you were set to achieve by the end of your internship.
