DLA Piper operate a formal two-week Summer Scheme between June and August in all UK offices.
The schemes run for two weeks and allow a thorough insight into DLA Piper. Attendees sit in two departments for a week each and there are talks and social events arranged which will help to develop an understanding of what life is like at the firm. Attendees will be able to shadow a solicitor, see the work trainees do and take part in group activities.
There are approximately 200 places available nationwide. All summer placements are paid.
If you are successful in securing a Summer Scheme with DLA Piper you will be assessed for a training contract as part of your scheme.
Applicants are advised to apply for a summer scheme in the office they'd like to do their training contract in.
Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester & Sheffield.
300 UCAS points in one sitting (or equivalent) and on course for a 2.1 degree. Priority will go to penultimate year law students and final year non-law students.
Applications should be made online and the closing date is 31 January 2009. If successful through the application form stage, applicants will be invited to attend an interview in the office they applied to.
