If you're seriously considering a career with a big international firm and you're keen for real business experience, start with an EY Scholarship.
It givesyou business experience that'll make you stand out. And it'll give you a real insight into what life is like at a leading global professional services firm.
What is it?
The EY Scholarship runs over three years, starting when you finish your A-Levels and lasting until the end of university. The main component is paid Advisory work experience at Ernst & Young:
- Three weeks of work experience before you start university
- A ten-week internship during your first university summer holiday
- A further internship during your second university summer holiday
Your second internship might involve some time in one of our international offices.
You won't get any experience in our offices in your third year, but you'll still be active as an ambassador for Ernst & Young at your university. You'll coordinate campus events and you'll even get the chance to go back to your old school to talk about your experiences on the EY Scholarship.
You don't need to do a particular course or study at a certain university to apply for the Scholarship. We just look for people with the right personal strengths.
Why do it?
Aside from paid work experience — you'll get £1,000 for each year at university — if you perform well and decide Ernst & Young is the place for you,you may receive a graduate job offer as you enter your final year at university.
In addition:
- You will be able to put theory into practice and develop a wide range of business, technical and personal skills
- You will have an individual dedicated to supporting your own specific development
- You will have a support network across the business and amongst your peers
You've been on the EY Scholarship, what now?
You've laid the foundations for a great career, learning what it's like to take responsibility and do work for demanding clients. There's a good chance we'll offer you a graduate job.
What do we look for?
A minimum B grade in GCSE Mathematics and English Language and at least 300 UCAS points (not counting General Studies or re-sits).
All offers for the Scholarship are conditional on you obtaining your predicted A-Level results and gaining a place at university.
