If you're sure you want to pursue a career in accountancy, we've created the School Leaver programme for you. It will give you the opportunity to gain a sought after professional qualification.

You start your career right after your A-levels which means you don't need to go to university or get a degree. It's a structured blend of education and experience that gives you the technical skills you need whilst also offering unrivalled access to the world of work.

What is it?

A five-year training programme with Ernst & Young. You'll study for a professional qualification, for example, Chartered Accountancy.

You'll join right after your A-Levels, and will work at Ernst & Young from your first day. At the end of your five years you'll be professionally qualified with considerable experience of accountancy in the real world.

It sets you up perfectly for a great career here.

Why do it?

If you want to get into the business world but don't want to go to university, the School Leaver programme gives you access to an incredible combination of training and work experience. It'll give you excellent technical skills in accounting, develop your personal skill set and could help you qualify as an accountant sooner than many graduates.

You can start work straight away, whilst also studying towardsa professional qualification. The people you meet and the business experience you gain will set you apart from your peers.

You'll get plenty of support too from your mentor and a structured learning process to help you through the training.

Your journey with us will run alongside that of someone going to university. At the end of the five years your career and salary will be the equivalent to that of our other qualified graduates. It's simply a different route to the same excellent career.

We'll pay you a full salary for five years and fund your qualifications, and there are no student debts to worry about.

You've been on the School Leaver programme – what next?

Completing the School Leaver Programme gives you all the foundations for a great career. You'll have learnt a lot over the five years, gaining the confidence and knowledge to decide for yourself where to take your career.

What do we look for?

A minimum B grade in GCSE Mathematics and English Language andat least 300 UCAS points (not counting General Studies or re-sits).

All offers for the School Leaver programme are conditional on you obtaining your predicted A-Level results.
