We know you bright young things are choosy when it comes to applying for a job. And that's OK - you should be.
You want training.
You want strategic experience.
And maybe you want to study a bit more.
Got it.
KTP has got it all.
A KTP is a three-way project between a graduate, a company and an academic institution (university or college).
It's simple.
Graduates are recruited to manage strategic company projects, whilst being supported by a dedicated university.
The really great thing about KTP is that the scheme recruits for around 400 roles every year - covering a wide range of academic disciplines - so the opportunities are huge. Your project might be to develop a prototype for an anti-theft device; or maybe your project will be to design a new fashion range; or maybe you'll be helping to make the NHS more efficient.
You can afford to be choosy with KTP - because there's so much to chose from.
KTPs last anywhere from 12 months and 3 years and at the end of the project around 80% of graduates are offered full time positions with the company.
As well as this, all graduates get to spend around 10% of their time in training and personal development. At the start of the KTP you're given a training budget to manage - so you get to decide which courses would benefit you. Training modules cover people skills, people management, career development and business leadership, as well as job-specific technical training.
You can also study a diploma in management and, if you want, even go on to continue your studies further. Last year, 21%registered for post-graduate qualifications and around 50 graduates holding higher degrees registered for further post-graduate work. Not bad!
KTP has worked with over 3,000 organisations from micro-sized companies to large companies such as Unilever and Rolls Royce. We work with over 140 universities and colleges, and over 6,000 graduates. That makes us one of Europe's leading graduate recruitment programmes.
