Graduate Development Programme
Based in one of our 30 UK offices, from day one you will working as part of a team alongside other graduates and experienced professionals. You will learn about Mott MacDonald, our structure and culture and you will be exposed to real projects. We'll involve you in various project phases so you gain vital on-the-job experience through our vast range of technical expertise.
Our graduates will undertake a range of roles but to make sure you settle in when you join us you will be assigned a 'buddy', who will assist you with the induction process to Mott MacDonald and your office. You will also be assigned an experienced mentor who will supervise all aspects of your professional development. As we recognise the importance of your professional development we will encourage and support you in achieving the standards required by your relevant professional institutions and in obtaining qualifications in your specialised discipline.

We are flexible with start dates and your employment will commence on a date mutually agreed, however, the majority of graduates start between July and October.
Candidate Specification
To join us, you must have obtained, or are predicted to obtain, a 2.1 or above (or equivalent) in a relevant degree.
We recruit a huge variety of disciplines but generally look for graduates of these engineering fields: civil, structural, water, mechanical, systems, fire, chemical, electrical and building services. We also recruit people with skills in transport, hydrogeology, geotechnics, quantity surveying, environmental science, renewables, sustainability and business management.
Essential attributes include:
- Enthusiasm and ambition;
- Good report writing, team working and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently, make decisions and work to tight deadlines to meet client needs;
- A genuine interest to work within a Global Consultancy business.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience within a Commercial Engineering environment
- Understanding of financial constraints of the UK construction consulting industry
