We offer courses for primary school children with activities such as climbing & abseiling, hill walking, stream walking, open canoeing, raft building, archery, night line, problem solving, caving, zip wire, low ropes and team challenge. Robinwood are now looking for enthusiastic, hard-working Group Leaders / Instructors to join their team for autumn 2008 intake.
We run 3 day courses for primary school children offering activities such as climbing & abseiling, hill walking, stream walking, open canoeing, raft building, archery, problem solving, caving, low ropes and team challenge.
Group leading at Robinwood is enjoyable, rewarding, but also challenging. The position provides an ideal opportunity to work with children in an exciting outdoor adventure and teamwork environment, without the restriction of the classroom.
Typically once a week group leaders take charge of an activity group of up to 12 children. The group leader meets the children on arrival and instructs or assists with the all (or virtually all) of the activity sessions that the group takes part in during their three day course at Robinwood. Group leaders are central to the success of a Robinwood course.
In March 2009 we will be opening our third and largest centre in Todmorden, Lancashire and so will be looking to recruit extra staff in spring next year. We will have two intakes, one in late January and the second in mid February.

Job Requirements : Applicants must have previous relevant experience working with children along with a keen interest in adventure activities, qualifications an advantage but full training provided.
