About us
It’s no wonder that our engineers are proud to work for Rolls-Royce. They get to work on some of the most exciting projects around, from building quieter, more fuel-efficient jet engines, to developing new marine technology that could change ship propulsion forever.
Engineering at Rolls-Royce
Providing power solutions in the challenging civil aerospace, defence aerospace, energy and marine markets, we power the world we live in. So engineering and technology are at the heart of our success. We have over 8,000 engineers and recruit people from a wide range of engineering-related disciplines – mechanical, manufacturing, operations management, aerospace, aeronautical, electrical, electronic, maths and physics.
Our graduate programmes will enable you to become a world expert in your particular engineering field, or make your mark in a leadership role. Whichever programme you choose, your engineering skills will be stretched, challenged and enhanced and you’ll be encouraged to push the frontiers of technology.
Training and development
We offer two programmes specifically for graduates. Our Professional Excellence Programme lasts 12–18 months and is designed to develop your professional expertise as an engineer. On our Leadership Development Programme, you’ll focus on developing leadership skills over 18–24 months, while also growing your engineering skills and knowledge.
Your development experience will be tailored to meet your individual needs, with all the support you need to perform to your full potential. This will involve a combination of job experience, formal training, project work and a variety of other activities.
Whichever route you take, you’ll find strong support for progression to Chartered Engineer. And you’ll enjoy continuous professional development opportunities to ensure you achieve your career goals at all levels within Rolls-Royce.
