The Science and Technology Facilities Council is one of Europe's largest multi-disciplinary scientific research organisations supporting scientists and engineers world-wide. The Council directs, coordinates and funds research, educational initiatives and training with a particular focus on Astronomy, Space Science, Particle Physics and Nuclear Physics. They provide strategic leadership and an integrated approach to world-class UK research facilities and their international scientific partnerships
