Tesco - Merchandising Graduate Programme

Our Food, Corporate Purchasing, Fashion and General Merchandise teams together make up our Commercial function, the second largest function within the Tesco business. Our teams drive and deliver the phenomenal sales and profit growth to ensure we maintain our number one position in the UK.

Decisions we make in the Commercial team directly affect all our customers and stores, as well as the rest of the business as a whole. It's our job to make sure we offer the best range of products, at the best possible prices. Put it this way - product is our lifeblood.

As a Graduate Trainee Merchandiser you could be working in either our Fashion or our General Merchandise business, supporting the teams to deliver the best ranges possible, while working to a structured development programme. This will allow you to gain experience in more than just the category in which you begin your career.

Tesco Merchandisers take responsibility for the huge budgets of some of our fastest growing product areas. Working alongside your buying team, you have the responsibility to deliver our customer's needs by ensuring your product ranges are in the right place, in the right quantity, at the right time. You'll certainly need plenty of drive to cope with the pace of our growth and it will be your innovation and forward thinking approach that'll convince us you can be an inspirational leader in the future.

To join us as a Graduate Trainee Merchandiser, you'll need:

• At least a 2:2 degree or equivalent (obtained or expected)
• 240 UCAS points at A Level/Scottish Highers or other equivalent qualifications (excluding General Studies)
