About Us:
UKSA is a youth charity offering transformational opportunities for young people through sailing and watersports. We are based in Cowes, Isle of Wight – the heart of the yachting world. We don't just offer certification and training, as a youth charity we can offer that something extra. We really look after our young people. Our career students benefit from 1:1 mentoring, access to our careers network, realistic careers advise and help with your CVs. We have a fantastic fleet, a waterfront campus, inspirational instructors and great facilities. Food and accommodation is included in the price, so you can live onsite, enabling you to concentrate fully on your course and enjoy living among others training for their careers.

If you're looking for an alternative to university but still want a career, the range of courses at UKSA are worth investigating. You don't have to have sailing or watersports experience – the campus has entry level courses perfect for enthusiastic young people looking for something that little bit different. There are several routes leading to careers in yachting, watersports, superyachts and the wider maritime industry – where jobs are varied, interesting and in more abundance than in many other industries.

Students completing training with UKSA can benefit from the amazing career paths and global travel opportunities that life on the water can bring. Among the courses on offer are Professional Yacht Cadetship, Professional Yachtmaster, Superyacht Crew Training, Superyacht Hospitality Training and Watersports Instructor Training.

Ben Willows, Chief Executive at UKSA, explained: "Steep university fees and the fear of not getting the right job after all that studying and expense means many young people are now seeking alternatives, but it can be hard to find information about what alternatives are out there. The benefits are huge and can include travelling the world, the camaraderie of working as a team, the chance to up-skill, an enviable lifestyle and, in many cases, the chance of a really good pay packet at a young age."
