Most top graduate employers offer graduate work experience

According to a new report most leading graduate employers are to run a graduate work experience programme this year.

High Fliers Research's Graduate Market in 2011 report, showed that many programmes are sandwich courses which are taken between years of university study and usually last "between six and twelve months".

It was recently disclosed that around half of all graduate positions go to applicants that had undertaken work experience at their chosen company.

Only 6% of the top 100 graduate employers will not be offering graduate work experience schemes.

The report - the latest instalment of an annual study by the researchers - also revealed that 10,665 graduate work experience positions will be available in the coming year.
