Work experience grads bring ‘fresh ideas’ to business
Graduates doing work experience jobs can “bring fresh ideas” to businesses say the Bright Ideas Trust.
Work experience with small employers can be just as valuable to graduates as getting experience with larger, more prestigious companies says Tim Campbell, the founder of the mentoring network.
"There's no reason that apprentices and interns can't bring fresh ideas to their businesses and help them move forward with their intentions to grow," he said.
"Apprenticeships in small businesses can be just as valuable as those with larger enterprises and our country's small businesses certainly have a responsibility to make these options available where possible."
The week the Government announced the Whitehall Internship Programme, which aims to ensure internships and work experience is available to people from all backgrounds.
As well as founding the Bright Ideas trust, Tim Campbell is the training ambassador to London mayor Boris Johnson.
