6. A happy place to study
A University education should not only be your own personal vehicle to career success, but a happy time where you meet and make life long friends. I have as part of my job been in touch over the last year with many graduates and alumni and have always found that they view their time at Brunel with fondness and affection. Indeed, one graduate from China recently e-mailed me a student profile saying her Brunel experience marked "the happiest time of her life". The many articles in the newsletters I mentioned above also reflect the happiness that students have experienced whilst studying at Brunel. I would sincerely wish you to enjoy this feeling on gradation too.

7. Broadening experience
Given the principal aim of a University education is to get a good job, there are many more benefits in going to University. Extracurricular activities are highly important as a means of relaxation. At Brunel you can enjoy almost any sport that you can imagine. Indeed we have been proud to be the host University to many world-class athletics and sportsmen and women in the last 5 years. In respect to sports, we have in the last two years invested millions on sporting facilities including a fitness centre and Olympic indoor running tracks, facilities that helped London secure the 2012 Olympic games. The Sunday Times said Brunel University had the best sporting facilities of all London Universities. Please view the following website for more information on Brunel Sports : http://www.brunel.ac.uk/life/sport . But there is much more at Brunel than just sports. You might join one of the many debating societies, learn to paint, learn a foreign language, join the thriving Brunel student amateur drama group, learn to dance modern or Latino, or play a musical instrument. Come to Brunel and get an excellent career advantage, but also add more strings to your bow with the many activities on offer.

8. A safe place to study
Brunel University is an integrated campus where you can study, eat in the many restaurants, play sports, relax in the student union and finally rest, all within 7 minutes walk. Many universities cannot offer this integrated and safe campus atmosphere.

9. Location
Brunel is excellently situated. Brunel is 17 miles to the west of Central London and enjoys easy access to the city centre (1 hour on the underground Metropolitan line from the nearest town Uxbridge). The University is close to the London Heathrow Airport (20 minutes by car) and has close motorway links to the rest of the UK (within 15 minutes you have access to the M25, the M40 and the M4.) where you might travel to all parts of the UK. At Brunel you have the best of all possible worlds.

10. A truly supportive global community
Brunel University is proud that we have students from over 115 overseas countries. Whilst studying at Brunel you can meet students from many different cultures and countries. We also have a dedicated Graduate School with excellent facilities for exclusive use of our many postgraduate students.
