Being the largest employer in Europe, the National Health Service is currently undergoing the biggest change management programme we’ve ever conducted, with the aim to transform our service into a modern, efficient organisation, ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century heath needs. The NHS faces the challenge of leading and improving complex services that matter to everyone. Made up of over 800 organisations, the scope of opportunity is vast. There has never been a better time for talented graduates to join a nationally acclaimed scheme dedicated to realising their potential.
The NHS offers three dedicated streams into graduate management – Finance, HR and General Management training. All have one aim: to develop managers and leaders of the future.
The NHS Graduate Management 2-year programme has a combination of core learning and specialised threads that support the attainment of a professional qualification in either Human Resources, Finance or General Management. Specialist training is at the heart of the Scheme, supporting development of personal qualities and management skills. Trainees from each specialism learn together, building relationships across management functions for the future. Personal development continues in years 3 and 4, ensuring trainees are part of the NHS talent pool.
This development is complemented by access to senior managers, the opportunity to shadow chief executives and attend Board meetings – and you’ll have your own personal mentor, who will be a senior NHS executive.
To be eligible you must have, or be expecting a minimum 2.2 degree in any subject, or equivalent.
