Here we are at last in Cairo, sitting in an air-conditioned internet cafe, which is more luxurious than any of the three hotels we've stayed in so far. We have just completed day 11 of our 8-month world tour, which has already had its peaks
We ran into a few problems in Egypt...I ended up in hospital on a drip for 2 days, with amoebic dysentery. So, now I am back in Clacton, at my mum's, because the doctors said I wasn't well enough to continue to places such as India! Plus.
Yes, we've made it back on track, to India. We spent 9.5 hours in the air getting to Delhi, but have spent longer journeys in our driver's car since we've been here (yes, we are doing it in style this time!).
Well, here we are, back in rainy Delhi for the evening, waiting for a few hours until we catch our over-night train to Phatankot, and then a 4-hour bus ride up into the Himachal Pradesh to Dharamsala and McLeod Ganj.
Well, we haven't been on the internet for a while as we've been travelling quite a way across India to Nepal. After 31 hours on a never-ending train, and nearly three days worth of squashed bus transportation, we crossed the border to.

We are now in Luang Prabang, Laos. It took us two days on a slow boat along the Maekong River to get here. I would thoroughly recommend such a trip - the scenery was of National Geographic standard and I had to keep pinching myself
How are you all?
I’ve just spent a few days with dysentery attack number four ... when will it end? It’s very hot in Laos and humid, more so than when we were in Thailand I think.
Well, one more week in Thailand before hitting the States on 20th Feb ... can't wait, San Francisco here we come! I 've just come out of hospital (in Laos this time, for dysentery attack number 4).
We’ve been in the exciting city of for just over two weeks now - and why is it so exciting we hear you cry? Well, for starters we had a moderate earthquake (4.4 on the Richter scale) during our first weekend here
