Kathmandu
We never dreamt that Kathmandu would be such a big city. Its fun here, and perfect for shopaholics! Its difficult to resist street sellers, but if we bought tiger-balm off of every hawker, we would have to open a chemist.
We have extended our stay here to 28th December, and have decided to take the 8-hour bus journey to Pokhara for a log-fired, snow-peaked Christmas...Thailand is going to feel very warm afterwards (we have both had colds, due to the changing of temperatures).
We are so glad to have continued our trip. Travelling quite often feels like we are wandering around in a dream. It is so peculiar to not have a daily structure of going to work (believe it or not, I sometimes miss it - am I stupid?).
Ill let Emily have a few words now:
Happy Christmas everyone!
I have a cold.
I don't miss work.
I am very fond of Nepal and I want to bring all my family and friends back here one day.
We have bought hats that make us look like Zig and Zag.
We have chronic temple fatigue but can't get enough prayer flags, alternatively known as wind horses because they carry prayers into the wind.
Miss you all.
