The event to be held on 26th June 2012 at the Sketchley Grange Hotel, Burbage, Leicestershire aims to bring apprentices, employers and training providers together to learn more about the potential of apprenticeships.
There will be seminars held throughout the day about apprenticeships in pubs, bars, and restaurants offering school-leavers a unique insight into the field.
Of apprenticeships in the field www.apprenticeships.org.uk say, “A pub or a bar is a fun, social and great place to be. What you might not have considered is how a job in this dynamic, fast-moving and exciting sector has the potential to lead you onto a rewarding career path – one that could easily see you earning an annual salary of £30,000 to £40,000 within two to three years, or owning your very own pub or bar business in the future.”
Those attending the event will have the opportunity to meet potential employers who are actively looking for apprentices and meet with colleges and training centres who offer apprenticeships.
Peter Avis, Restaurant Manager, Babylon – Kensington Roof Gardens said, “Working in a pub, bar or restaurant is very exciting, and rewarding. It is a dynamic industry in which you can achieve a lot and in a short time if you’re dedicated’ if you enjoy working with people you could enjoy a very successful career which allows you to travel all over the world!”
