Despite economic uncertainty the number of graduates finding work six months after graduation has stayed steady.

61.8% of graduates who finished university in 2010/11 found work within six months according to findings from the Higher Education Careers Services Unit (HECSU) in their annual What Do Graduates Do? survey.

The survey asked nearly 245,000 graduates about their career progression and found that another 13.1% had moved on to further study or training. 8.6% were unemployed.

The previous year’s report found that 62.2% entered employment, 13.5% started further study or training, 7.6% were working and studying while 8.6% were unemployed.
