To start with you will receive excellent training to equip you with the business and management skills required for the role. AIBP’s training programme will expose Management trainees to many aspects of our business.

What do AIBP do?
AIBP is one of the leading suppliers of beef products in Ireland and Europe. Through our fresh and frozen divisions we are a preferred supplier to major retailers and food service companies. As a company we have a down-to-earth attitude - both in the way we approach a problem and the way we interact with others.

To be a success
Graduate Management trainees move through every aspect of our business over an 8 month period with a focus on our core business Production. At the end your final career path will be one of responsibility, challenge, and leadership.

To be a success at AIBP, whether it be in sales; plant management; distribution; food safety or finance you will need to have knowledge gained from experiences and this is the aim of the scheme.

The focus of our business and your role will be Operations/Production, Sales or Finance but an overview of all areas is essential, this may involve project based work or working with a team, but you will quickly be rewarded with real responsibility.

Areas you will gain knowledge in:
Production - You will spend time in the production environment

Technical/research and development - analysing and compiling nutritional tables making sure food production legislation issues are met and identifying areas for new product development.

Sales and Marketing – Sales analysis and market research on consumer tastes and trends and liaising directly with the key clients in retail and food service. European languages are essential for roles in Eire but not essential for Northern Ireland.

Finance – Business analysis, evaluating investments, predicting costs, analysing trends, making financial projections, plus accounting and managing day-to-day cash flow. You will be supported towards your CIMA or ACCA qualifications.

Engineering - working closely with food development departments on new products and consider how new products can be produced technologically.

Distribution and logistics - Making sure our product reaches the customer at the right time and the lowest cost by managing people, transport and warehousing.

What you need to demonstrate?
• We are always looking to spot the managers of the future, so we are interested in your potential rather than your experience.
• All we ask is that you are a committed and ambitious individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to learn.
• An interest in the food industry is essential.
• You must have a current driving license.
• You must be flexible to relocate and travel for the position around our major sites (Newry, Clones, Cahir, Bandon, Waterford, Nenagh and Rathkeale).
