What you'll do

The scheme lasts up to four years. Depending on the needs of our business, you'll follow a particular pathway (Automotive, Maintenance, Manufacturing Support, or Toolroom/Model Factory) and you'll start by spending time at college learning the engineering basics for your pathway and safe working practices. Once you're up-to-speed on that, you'll begin work at one of our sites where you'll develop your hands-on skills, all the while continuing with your academic studies on a day-release basis.

What you'll gain

During the scheme you’ll earn:
• NVQ2 in Performing Engineering Operations
• NVQ3 in your trade pathway
• A Technical Certificate
• Depending on the needs of the business, you might also get the chance to complete an HNC, City & Guilds qualification or a Foundation degree

Of course, much of your learning will come on-the-job, and you’ll be fully supported with our world-class training and support including structured development reviews. You’ll also receive a starting salary of £9,878 along with a competitive benefits package.

What you'll need

You’ll need to have, or expect to gain within this academic year, at least five GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above. Your subjects must include Maths, English and a core Science subject. We may also consider a relevant Level 3 or above equivalent engineering qualification, depending on the content that you’ve studied.
