The Role
You will work within the e-marking development team, joining an expanding group of talented and dedicated developers.

You will be involved in the development of the e-marking suite of applications, using a range of technologies, including .NET 2 & 3.5, SQL Server, web services and WCF across web and windows platforms.

You will push the technology to deliver complex functionality for an ever-growing user base, interfacing with customer and 3rd party systems.

You will be involved throughout the software lifecycle, gathering and analysing requirements, designing solutions and implementing and testing the designs.

Qualifications and experience

A 2:1 or first class honours degree in a Software Engineering or Computer Science related subject.

260 UCAS tariff points or equivalent

In addition you will have:

  • A tenacious and imaginative approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
  • Good planning and organisational ability

Preferred experience will include:

  • experience of software development possibly during a gap year or significant project coursework;
  • C# programming language (although cross-training from C++ or Java will be provided);
  • experience in a Windows environment would be an advantage.
