As well as undertaking a challenging training programme that involves a mixture of courses and on the job training, you can expect to have a real job to do from Day 1, working on acoustics solutions for state of the art naval systems, sub-systems and equipment. Part of a team, your tasks will be varied covering the whole development cycle from feasibility to assembly.
Our structured training programme will include internal and external training courses, culminating in a recognised professional engineering qualification.
Successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
Entry RequirementsA high achiever, you will be at 2.1 level or above in a relevant engineering or science degree. You will be flexible, creative, self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a ‘can do approach’. A team player with excellent communications skills, you will relish a challenge. Someone who enjoys solving problems, you will be prepared to challenge assumptions and deliver alternative approaches. You will also have a good general understanding of acoustic principles, development processes coupled with engineering processes.
