BDO Graduate Graduate Jobs

About BDO

When the most ambitious, entrepreneurial and high-growth businesses need advice on accountancy and business, they turn to BDO. We are a major global player in our industry and take pride in always keeping sight of our clients’ unique needs. Integrity is at the heart of everything we do. The investment we make in building long-term relationships with our clients is a big part of why our clients would recommend us more than any other firm.

We work closely with each other too. Taking a collaborative, agile approach, you’ll find yourself working side by side with managers, directors and partners. For you, this all means more real experience and bigger responsibilities, earlier in your career than you might expect. It’s easy to be inspired at BDO.

The programme

On our three year Graduate Programme, you’ll find yourself working side by side with managers, directors and partners, developing your skills and knowledge, with paid study leave to work towards recognised industry qualifications. Along the way, you’ll enjoy excellent support including coaching and mentoring.

We have vacancies nationwide, in the following offices: Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Gatwick, Glasgow, Guildford, Ipswich, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Norwich, Nottingham, Reading, Southampton, and on Guernsey.

What we’re looking for

We’ll expect you to have, or be on course for, a 2:2 or above in any degree discipline. You should also have three A Levels in any subject (excluding General Studies and Extended Projects) plus GCSEs in Maths and English Language, all at grades A* - C. Equivalent international qualifications are welcome.

We recognise that your qualifications and work experience don’t tell us the full story. So we’re keen to find out what you care about and love to do in life. After all, BDO is a place where you should feel free to be yourself. We always look for people who are supportive, responsible, honest and collaborative.

We’ll also expect to see you demonstrate the values we all share at BDO:

  • Mutual support and respect
  • Empowerment and personal responsibility
  • Professional and personal relationships
  • Honesty and integrity

The rewards

At BDO, we believe in collaboration. For you, this means real experience and bigger responsibilities, earlier than you might expect. It’s easy to be inspired at BDO.

As you’d expect we offer a competitive salary and first-class benefits package, but trainees often tell us that our friendly and welcoming culture is what really drew them to BDO. Here, your counselling manager or buddy will provide you with support and advice whenever you need it. You’ll also enjoy how easy we make it to balance work and social life, with a variety of networking groups and great opportunities for sport, socialising and volunteering:

  • Employee networking groups including the Islamic Network, our Women’s network and our LGBT network, Blend
  • Opportunities to socialise by going on an away day, playing sport, or coming to one of our BBQs, summer or winter parties
  • Up to 10 days a year to do voluntary or charitable work
  • In certain offices, we offer a free breakfast if you’re in the office before 8:30am

We recommend applying early so you don’t miss out on a place. If you’d like to find out more, there’s plenty of information on our website. You can also find out about our visits to universities and the open insight days we’re holding at our offices.
