Summary of the Role’s Main Purpose:
This is an exciting role within the Marketing Services team at CRUK. You will be joining at a time where there is huge opportunity to transform our marketing tactics as we move towards a more supporter-centric way of working. You will be given the opportunity to develop and will be able to grow your expertise within the field of CRM and marketing.
The role of Campaign Planning Executive is to deliver Campaign Planning for all products and events across the charity. This is a central process that CRUK uses to manage and coordinate all direct marketing activity to ensure the timely and effective delivery of our marketing communications. You will have responsibility of applying CRUK contact rules and business rules to Email, Mail, TM and SMS campaigns.
Within the role, you will work closely with the Data Selections team as well as with the marketing teams to ensure that audiences are targeted in the most effective way. You will also support in the migration of the Campaign Planning processes onto our new multi-channel marketing platform, Adobe Campaign.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Marketing Services team’s ambition to drive marketing excellence through an audience-centric approach.
Deliver the monthly Campaign Planning process to ensure the timely and effective delivery of marketing campaigns across the charity and ensure we are delivering the right communications through Email, Mailing, SMS and Telemarketing to the right supporters
Become an expert in the end-to-end Campaign Planning process and act as the point of contact for all matters relating to it
Work closely with the rest of the Marketing Services team and the Insight & Analytics team to optimise CRUK’s supporter experience
Make recommendations with regards to prioritising campaigns based on key marketing metrics and targets, driving a test and learn programme where necessary
Prepare resources for clash analysis and implementation of the prioritisation process
Drive understanding of, and engagement with, the evolving rules and learnings of Campaign Planning to ensure efficient inputs by users
Identify opportunities to optimise the Campaign Planning Process and make recommendations to manager
Work closely with the data selections team to prioritise communications
Portfolio & Product Projects
Support in the scoping, development and delivery of projects and initiatives which will provide benefit to teams and products across the portfolio – such as our CRUK Portfolio Marketing Calendar which we use to plan and prioritise upcoming marketing activity
Use your knowledge of Campaign Planning to support our move to Adobe Campaign, identifying opportunities to drive a better supporter experience and improve ways of working
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate well with an ability to convey expertise in a way that engages others and builds their knowledge
Assess stakeholder priorities and align them with CRUK priorities to find the right marketing solution and supporter experience
You strive to understand how your role contributes to the achievement of the team’s objectives and how that aligns with CRUK’s strategy
Key Technical Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Some marketing experience either through learning or application, including knowledge of direct marketing techniques, channels and audiences. Knowledge of Email marketing in particular would be beneficial
Demonstrable skills in interpreting marketing reports and an aptitude for logical and critical thinking
Strong project management, prioritisation and time management skills
Well-organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet regular deadlines
A great communicator and a team player
Keen problem solver, proactive and able to identify issues and collaborate as needed to resolve them
Presenting solutions / options to facilitate sound business decision-making for teams
You communicate clearly and use rational arguments to influence where necessary - strong verbal and written communication skills
You work with colleagues to find new and better ways of doing things, developing and refining processes and learning from experience
Good numeric and written communication skills
Experience of working with and interpreting data
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Salary £23,750 - £25,000
