Our John Lewis shops (department stores and at home stores) have been providing customers with the very best products and service for over 150 years. Now our website is doing the same in today’s digital age.
Our Waitrose branches supply the finest fresh food and quality goods both in-store and online. Its combination of convenience and expertise have made it one of the nation’s favourite supermarkets.
Both businesses rely on the dedication and commercial acumen of our Partners to succeed and progress. We need people who are passionate about retail and will embrace every opportunity on offer, whether that’s in our John Lewis and Waitrose shops or in Head Office roles.
We are experts in working with graduates; in training, developing and nurturing our graduates into some of the most successful professionals and leaders in the retail industry.

If you’ve ever stepped through the doors of John Lewis or Waitrose, shopped online, or watched anything on our YouTube channels, as our customers know only too well… there’s something different about us.
But if you try to define what that ‘difference’ might be, it’s not always instantly apparent. Is it the quality and (carefully selected) variety of our products? Is it down to our inspirational displays? Perhaps it’s our innovation of products? Or is it our award-winning customer service?
Actually, it’s simpler than that. It’s our Partners. As co-owners they have a say in our business, so they put time and effort into making it work. They are the reason we’re the success we are.
Our graduate schemes

Our graduate schemes are designed to nurture our future leaders. If you’re up to the challenge, the opportunities are enormous.
Many of our past graduates have gone on to make a big impact across the business – on Divisional Boards, our Senior Leadership Team and Branch Steering Groups. In fact, two of the Partnership’s current Board of Directors joined the business through our Graduate scheme.
All schemes include an element of core skills development, the purpose of which is to give all graduates experience across all areas of the Partnership, exposure to a variety of senior business leaders, opportunities to work with different individuals and the chance to develop a strong graduate community.
Beyond that, each scheme provides more specific experience, specialist or generalist, as well as technical training and support for any relevant professional qualifications.

We are currently reviewing our John Lewis Partnership Graduate schemes and therefore will not be recruiting for the 2018 intake.
