Ours is truly a "one-firm" approach - Latham has no headquarters, and firm management is spread throughout the world, allowing us to service clients with the best-suited teams regardless of location. As we operate around the globe, there are some fantastic career opportunities available at our practices… Who we are Latham & Watkins LLP is an American law firm founded in 1934. As of 2017, we are the world's highest-grossing law firm, with US$2.823 billion in annual revenue, and we are widely considered one of the most prestigious law firms in the world. We have more than 2,400 lawyers in 31 offices located in 14 countries; our lawyers speak more than 60 languages, so we can truly represent clients from all corners of the world.     Careers with us Our extensive and insightful practices, one-firm culture and global footprint provide you with virtually limitless opportunities. This is your opportunity to join some of the best in the industry. Let's get to know each other Your chance to find out more is at one of our open days that will give you an insight into life at a commercial law firm and the culture at Latham. Each session provides the opportunity to meet with our partners, associates and trainees, along with our Graduate Recruiting team. You will take part in speed networking, panels and negotiation games, as well as meeting with our trainees in a more informal setting. We also visit campuses across the UK. Look out for us at law fairs, in your careers services and working with your law societies. We also work with non-law related student societies, such as law for non-law societies, finance and business societies as well as a number of diversity focussed societies. Take time to read more about our graduates, training and culture HERE. Graduate training programme Induction at Latham lasts for three weeks and will cover everything required to get you prepared for the first day in your new seat. You will complete part of the professional skills course, receive comprehensive training on IT, time recording and knowledge management and learn more about the firm you have joined. You will complete four, six-month seats. Two of these will be in our Corporate and Finance groups as these are at the heart of our London practice. In either your third or fourth seat, you will have the opportunity to apply for a secondment. This will either be to one of our international offices or to one of our clients. Real work Training at Latham can be challenging, and there will be some long hours, but we can guarantee that in each department you will be given real work and real responsibility. As you progress through your training contract your confidence will grow, as will your skills. The work will depend on the seat, but it will be varied, fast-paced and exciting.
