Job title: Communications and Social Media intern (Part time) Deadline: Shortlisting asap Start date: ASAP The Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (part of the School of Advanced Study, University of London) is recruiting a Communications and Social Media Intern. Founded in 1947, the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) supports and promotes legal research in its broadest sense, both nationally and internationally. It provides services to the law schools of the University of London, and brings together the academic and the practising legal professions for the benefit of the legal system as a whole. It is home to two active research centres and a number of ongoing projects to improve access to legal resources. The intern will be expected to work two days per week (14 hours/week) for a period of six months. Occasional evening work may be required. The post would suit a motivated undergraduate, postgraduate, or recent graduate looking to gain experience in academic administration, social media/communications and events management. Key Deliverables The successful candidate will have a main focus on helping to develop and maintain the Institute’s online presence through managing social media accounts and feeds, generating content and updating webpages for the Institute and its research centres, and helping to promote events and activities. At times they will also assist in the development of marketing material and in the management of events and courses.
