Summary of the job role

Our client is a revolutionary tech company providing analytics tools to drinks companies around the world. The drinks industry was old fashioned before they came along We’re now living in the age of data, but the drinks trade has been hampered by a debilitating lack of consumer information. We know that for industries to thrive in the modern world, they need to have a firm grasp of who they’re serving. And that’s where our client comes in. This is a permanent role offering £55K - £85K depending on experience based in Central London Who are we looking for? Our client is looking for highly skilled Senior FullStack Developer to join the product team. You’ll be responsible for participating in our product development from ideation to deployment and beyond, and then working as part of a team to execute new features or products. The ideal person for this role is a problemsolver with an inquisitive and innovative mind, and loves to collaborate with other teams to drive the company forward. You should have excellent communication, computer programming, and project management skills. What would you be doing? Assuming a senior role in designing and implementing server side logic maximising speed and scalability of our platform Working on our web applications using Node.js and PHP in all phases of the development life cycle Gathering technical requirements, scoping sprints and features Working on software projects ranging from not yet begun to 23 year old projects which will need improvement, possibly on different technology stacks Evaluating and selecting appropriate storage solutions Testing and CI / CD are primary factors for success. Mentoring, and supporting the team, comprised of several developers with varying specialities and enabling knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team Reporting directly to our tech lead / CTO Good communication skills are required to communicate with both very and little technically versed external and internal points of contact. External contacts could be potential clients, already acquired clients or companies providing third party integrations Collaborating with the frontend developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience Participating in continuous education and training to remain current on best practices, learning new programming languages, and better assisting other team members All of our systems will need to continue to conform with security and data protection standards. Previous GDPR compliance experience is a plus. What experience do you need to have? Essential: 5 years of relevant application building experience in a professional environment Advanced in Node.js JavaScript and asynchronous / concurrent tasks in distributed systems Advanced PHP experience (Lumen, Laravel, Symfony or similar) Advanced SQL Database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SqlServer or Oracle) Advanced NoSQL Database experience (MongoDB or CouchDB) Bonus: Advanced Front End experience (React) Advanced Cloud experience (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Alibaba Cloud) We offer Salary: £50,000 - £85,000 25 annual holiday days, excluding bank holidays A range of employee benefits and perks We offer Competitive salary package 25 annual holiday days, excluding bank holidays A range of employee benefits and perks
