Summary of the job role

Do you want a newly-created international commercial role? Do you want to work for a highly innovative business? Our client is a leading developer of a range of innovative power cells that utilises cutting-edge chemistry. The tech has a wide range of uses which span the likes of Defence, Aerospace and Automotive among others. The company has a diverse range of UK-based and international clients and is looking to build on this strong foundation by bringing in an experienced Sales professional to drive new business. You will be based from their offices in Yorkshire and will report into the Head of Business Development, with your key responsibility to manage growing the client base whilst maintaining existing accounts. The emphasis is certainly on winning new business, and as a result of this you will need to be an excellent relationship-builder and be highly organised. You will be an experienced Sales professional with a strong track record internationally. Experience of, or knowledge in, the Aerospace, Defence, Automotive sectors is a must. International travel is also a prerequisite of the role. You will be exhibiting at events all over Europe and beyond in order to build your network, as a result your client meetings will require adequate planning and preparation in order to understand the different needs, markets and cultures that you will encounter. You will be heavily involved in Sales proposals, bid tenders and every aspect of customer aftercare, so communicating with different internal teams is critical. You will have a degree in a degree such as Electrical Engineering or Chemistry, as well as several years’ experience of selling technical products into equally technical markets.
