Summary of the job roleWorld leading British manufacturer of niche foundry equipment now urgently requires 2 new Service and Commissioning Engineers to join their international team. To be considered for this position, the Service Engineers must be willing to travel around the world for projects. Trips away last on average 2 weeks at a time followed by a week or more based back in the UK either working from home or based in the workshop in East Anglia. Main Duties: Commission and Service special purpose machinery Complete both factory and site acceptence testing Follow up with customers to ensure any further actions/training are understood and completed Assist with pre-delivery testing and commissioning Help develop the product line with continuous improvement and innovation Provide remote technical support The company has an excellent staff retention rate, with the average engineer working for over 10 years. This is achieved through recognising achievements and providing open and honest discussions and assistance where required. The successful candidates will: Be Multi-Skilled with either an electrical or mechanical qualification – ideally apprentice trained with a HNC/HND Be experienced in fault finding with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment –training will be provided on weaker areas Understand PLC controls (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley for example) – ideally with the ability to monitor and change parameters Have experience within the heavy industrial/manufacturing sector In return you can expect an excellent starting basic of £25-35k experience depending Company Van, Paid Weekend Overtime, Company Credit Card, Bonus, Overseas Allowances and exceptional pension scheme.
