Do you enjoy repairing computers and other equipment at home? Do you have an interest in IT and are looking for a hands-on role where you can install parts and repair IT related equipment such as mobile computers and printers? Job Role We are currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, IT Support apprentices to provide a wide range of IT and software related support. The job roles are diverse and will give you the opportunity to develop your Skills in IT. The apprenticeship job role carries a degree of responsibility that overtime will increase as you develop within the work place. As an IT Helpdesk Apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include: Become a valued part of the IT Support team. Attending and contributing to weekly meetings. Ensuring great Customer Service always, professionally and responsive. Passing on leads and comments to other members of the relevant team. Assisting the setup of new organisations and services onto the system. Assisting training and installation whilst solving any problems. Evaluating new software and hardware Configuring handhelds and laptops/tablets and shipping in good time for all install dates. Processing and packaging orders and requesting Parcel Force collections. Updating device inventory and other records. Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable Qualifications & Training The company require a bright, enthusiastic and hard-working individual with a genuine desire to learn and to build a career within the IT industry. You will have a friendly personality, be able to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service. To be considered for this role, you must have at least a C grade in both GCSE Math’s & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You should have a GCSE/BTEC/A Level in ICT or at least hands-on experience with the workings of computers and IT. You will be highly organised. You will be willing to work hard and eager to learn. Flexibility Adaptability Ability to multitask Organisational skills Communication skills IT skills Interpersonal skills for communication, to interact with staff and customers by Email, Phone, online Chat and Face to Face once trained. Able to embrace a culture of learning and change, in an exciting and fast-moving sector. An interest in new technology using both Apps and Web based systems and a practical ability to use such technologies. Training Provided You will be enrolled on to the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. You will work towards gaining skills across a variety of technical areas including MTA Cloud Fundamentals and MTA Network Fundamentals, City and Guilds Diploma in the other 3 knowledge modules. This will extend also business processes and project management. You will also have the opportunity to gain some globally recognised Microsoft certifications.
