Explore your potential with an apprenticeship. And EE.

We get it. Deciding which route to take after school is a big decision. But what if you didn’t need to decide between education and work? You could earn while you learn and develop your career qualifications with an apprenticeship at EE.

We’re dedicated to helping school and college leavers take their next step. We’ve been given numerous awards over the past few years which highlight just how far we go, from the awards to being recognised in both Scotland and Wales for our commitment to the training and development of young people.

We’re playing our part in building a better Britain and you can be part of it. As well as gaining a nationally recognised qualification (NVQ/SVQ), you could make a real impact in your role. It all starts with connecting people. We bring the best networks, technology and people together to create great experiences for our customers. With contact centres and retail stores all over the country, we’re able to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate. We offer our skills and advice to local communities and schools to help close the digital divide, encouraging the unconnected to get online and the unsure to feel more confident with tech.

We’ve also taken steps to make sure that you can trust us to do what’s right. We’ve invested millions in improving our services, we’re continually looking at ways to reduce our carbon emissions and we’re doing our best to keep children safe online. As for our people, we’re proud to say that we came 1st in the Sunday Times’ Top 25 Best Big Companies to Work for 2018. In other words, we’re constantly striving to make EE more responsible.

So, where could you fit in? Well, you could join us as an Apprentice in retail or in one of our contact centres. Customer service skills are among the most transferrable skills you can learn; from patience and positivity, to the ability to stay calm and communicate clearly and being able to really listen and empathise. We believe that’s what makes our apprenticeships unique, as they can help you grow your career in any direction you choose.

You don’t need to worry about your current skillset or your school results either. We’re all about potential at EE. Maybe you’re a tech lover and you always have to have the latest phone or device, or you might have a natural confidence and love talking to and helping people. If you’ve got the spark, the passion and personality to succeed, then you’ll do just that at EE. In our business, things change fast, so you’ll need to be open to change, love learning about new things and getting to grip with the latest technology.

We take everyone through a full induction at the start, so you know what to expect right from the get go. If you join us in our contact centres, your typical week will be split around taking customer service calls and heading to college. On our retail apprenticeship, you’ll be continually learning about EE products and services and attending training sessions to take your sales skills to the next level. For both roles, as you learn and grow, you’ll have support, feedback and advice on how to improve from both your Team Leader and your assessor.

Once here, we’ll help you be the very best you can be and achieve your career goals. Whether that means broadening your skills in another function, or taking your career to the next level – we’ll be there supporting you along the way, giving you the tools, training and guidance that you need to make the most out of your career at EE.

“Being an apprentice is quite a big thing at EE and they really look after you. I’d say it’s grown my people skills. You learn how to speak to people in different ways, and adapt your listening skills. I’ve learnt a lot about EE’s tech, which is great because I’ve always been interested in technology and how things work. Progression is really quick too. I started three and a half years ago and I’m already a Team Leader.”

So, if you’re looking for a place to really kick-off your career, then an apprenticeship with EE could be a great choice. You’ll start earning straight away, while you gain your qualification, and you’ll walk away with a strong skillset that’ll set you up for any career path. Plus, if you work hard and show the commitment we look for in our people, then there’ll be plenty of options available for you to further your skills at EE at the end of your scheme.
