This scheme will develop members' knowledge and understanding of how our projects are delivered gaining an insight into Project Management and Project Controls including Schedule, Risk and Cost Analysis.
Our Apprenticeships will provide real job experience in a large project delivery organisation working alongside military and industry partners to successfully deliver outputs within Performance, Time and Cost parameters. Apprentices will receive a full induction as well as on the job coaching and personal/professional development, whilst studying for the Associate Project Manager Level 4 apprenticeship and the Association of Project Managers Project Management Qualification.
Your placement will take place in a one of our organisational areas known as Domains (Land, Fleet, Air, Joint Enablers, Corporate) getting involved in multi-function activities. In conjunction with the work placements, you will be provided with project specific training. The placement will be overseen by the Project Professional Entry Talent Team to ensure that you receive challenging work and development opportunities.
Your CV and Personal Statement needs to demonstrate your ability to successfully enhance a team environment, showcase your customer focus and strength in written and oral communication. In person, you will be driven and enthusiastic with an engaging manner, challenge orientated and innovative in solving problems.

Applicants who hold a degree (or equivalent) qualification are encouraged to apply for the Project Professional Graduate Scheme, which is advertised on an annual basis (January/February).
Please note this role is aimed at applicants who do not have relevant professional experience within the areas listed above (Project Management/Project Controls). Those wishing to be considered for Project Controls positions at an equivalent level with experience can do so through the appropriate Level 1 Recruitment Campaigns on Civil Service Jobs.
You may be involved in a number of different delivery activities including:
• Developing and documenting components of projects as required by the Project Team;
• Cost estimating, analysis and control activities;
• Under supervision provide comments and recommendations for cost management requirements relative to staffing and project controls;
• Schedule development, maintenance and monitoring
• Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunities management;
• Earned value management analysis and control activities;
• Development of workforce planning and staffing plans;
• Providing data to support business cases, strategic plans, customer presentations, bid evaluation and contract negotiations;
• Stakeholder Engagement.
