The job

Summary of the job role

Frank Hirth plc was founded in 1975 with the aim of providing a dual-tax service for UK and US citizens and businesses. Since then we have grown significantly and are now in the Accountancy Age Top 30 Firms in the UK – large enough to offer you a rewarding and challenging career and small enough to give you the chance to make a real contribution to our success. We welcome applications from anyone looking for a rewarding career and a place on a scheme which has already been the entry route for several of our leading lights.

The Tax Apprentice position is an entry level role with no expectation of previous tax experience as a high level of internal and external training is provided. The Tax Apprentice will operate in all areas of the business advisory group on a rotation basis for the first three years.

The Tax Apprentice will be expected to achieve the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and the US Enrolled Agent qualification by the end of their third year of the program. The Tax Apprentice generally will then work towards the (Associate Tax Technician) ATT and (Chartered Tax Adviser) CTA qualifications in tax, but if there is a strong interest and desire to work in accounts and audit, there may be an opportunity to continue working towards more advanced levels of the AAT qualification.

The Tax Apprentice Program has opportunities for advancement, depending on performance.

During your employment, you will undertake the AAT Level 3, the Enrolled Agent and the ATT Level 4 (with the potential to go on to study for the CTA).
