Life at Quattro Plant for apprenticeships

Quattro Group has enjoyed over 25 years of nationwide success, and operates from 11 strategically placed depots across the UK. Quattro Group was established in 1989 in East London by Managing Director John Murphy, with the company's first sweeper purchased in the same year. In 1992, Quattro Group started work in the rail industry, serving LUL Ruislip, going on to provide infrastructure services and track plant to LUL in 1997. Quattro Group invested in its first road rail vehicles (RRVs) shortly after the turn of the century, in 2001. It took just two years for the business to become an established supplier of RRV equipment to LUL and Network Rail. In 2005, Quattro Group's first tracked machines were purchased to work with First Engineering, which later became known as Babcock Rail. In 2008, Quattro Group established itself as the second largest RRV supplier in the UK and Network Rail's largest maintenance supplier, following the key acquisition of BCL. This allowed Quattro Group to go through rapid expansion, opening eight new depots across the UK to improve coverage. Quattro Group made further acquisitions, purchasing Kent Sweepers and Map Sweepers in 2009 and 2012 respectively, and further expanding its depot network to 11 nationwide.
