Life at Wave Leisure for apprenticeships

Wave Leisure Trust Ltd. (Wave) was formed in 2006 as a registered charitable company limited by guarantee. The Trust manages nine facilities on behalf of Lewes District Council, East Sussex County Council, and in partnership with Seaford Head School, Ringmer Community College, Priory School and Newhaven Town Council. The Wave Team has considerable experienced in the management of all aspects of community leisure, such as managing leisure centres (wet and dry), operating dual use sites (for example, schools and colleges), running sport and physical activity programmes (both indoor and outdoor), even providing consultancy and advisory services for councils, local companies, organisations and associations. In addition, on the back of the Newhaven Fort transferring into the Wave Portfolio in May 2015, the Team is now responsible for managing a Heritage Site and Tourist Attraction, a destination providing an educational environment for all the family with stunning views of the South Coast. Over the years Wave has had one fundamental and driving purpose of "Inspiring Active Lifestyles" and as such is determined to deliver to the Vision of being "at the heart of the improvement of health and wellbeing in our community". The five key pillars underpinning Wave's Vision are; Achieving Excellence, Business Sustainability, Engaging Staff and Partners, Customer Choice and Delivering to the Community. The Community Engagement and Partnership Manager will need to reflect these values professionally and within the development of programmes of activity. More recently, as part of a rebranding exercise, Wave's logo was reviewed and a decision taken to add the words "Live Life" as an outreach, 'call to action' for customers. This combined with the purpose of "Inspiring Active Lifestyles" and a vision of being "at the heart of the improvement of health and wellbeing in our community" sends a clear message that fundamentally we want people to be healthy, to be physically and mentally active and to have a sense of wellbeing. This role is central to providing friendly and efficient clerical and administrative support services to all of our customers and staff team at the leisure centre. As such it is vital that the post holder has an attention to detail and is able to carry out clerical and administrative tasks independently and to deadlines.
