These roles offer an excellent opportunity for numerate professionals to develop within a rapidly growing organisation About the roles We’re looking for a talented Data Analyst with an outstanding eye for detail, who is passionate about identifying trends and patterns of information to drive insight to the business across the customer lifecycle. You’ll be a catalyst to bring the power of data into the heart of collections strategies, operations and on-going performance optimisation. As a Data Analyst you’ll be: - Processing large and interesting data sets using SQL, which you will present back to key stakeholders - Interacting and communicating with other areas of the business to understand their requirements and interpret them from a technical perspective. - Building and owning key data sets to empower analysis to better understand trends, performance bottlenecks and guide business decisions - Producing key business reports and KPIs in order to drive insight to allow business areas to make important decisions - Proactive rather than reactive in identifying potential data issues - Confident enough to articulate your ideas with all levels in the organisation (operational, business and executive) What are we looking for in our Data Analyst? - Proficiency with SQL with an understanding of relational databases - Strong analytical, quantitative, organizational and communication skills - Strong attention to detail and data integrity - Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint - Ability to manage own workload, priorities and deadlines - Exceptional communication skills - Experience of SAS and/or R would be beneficial - Experience of analysing numbers and KPI’s in an operational environment We’re also looking for a number of Graduates Our Credit and Analysis team is responsible for defining strategy across our marketing, fraud, underwriting, customer management and collections strategies. The Graduate Analyst will be a key player in this team, providing analytical support across a number of different areas. As a Graduate Analyst you’ll be: - Assisting with developing and maintaining valuations models - Assisting with optimising decisions for profitability whilst maintaining credit quality - Providing monitoring and MI to understand the impact of credit risk strategies - Providing ideas to identify opportunities to improve process and procedures through analysis and implementing these What are we looking for in our Graduate Analysts? - First and foremost, the successful candidate must be intellectually curious with a passion for making data driven decisions - You will have a 2.1 or above in a numerical degree from a top university - Previous experience using a programming language with a willingness to learn SQL and R - Excellent communication skills enabling you to articulate complex recommendations to a range of stakeholders - Credit risk or data analysis experience will be an advantage but not a necessity These roles are full time, permanent basis and based in our offices in Nottingham City Centre.
